I purchased this tablet so I had a portable way to write simple documents using Word or Scrivener, and perhaps browse the web. The screen is excellent. And, you can add a microSD card to increase the on-board storage if necessary. It is also very easy to change from S Mode Windows 10 to the actual Windows Home . Doing so lets you install nearly every Windows application you can download (I found one application -- the ZSNES open source emulator --- which didn t install as they detect the OS differently). You can easily pair a Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard with the tablet, giving you a Windows 10 device that is more portable than a laptop. Also, you login using a PIN, and if you have the Microsoft Office subscription, you can share files using One Drive. You can also install DropBox or whatever cloud service you prefer. The tablet itself has a micro USB and standard USB connector, as well as a headphone connector and a proprietary connector. My biggest annoyance with the tablet is I CANNOT charge it using the micro USB connector. From a performance standpoint, remember this is a BUDGET tablet. With only 4 GB of RAM and a very basic processor, I can browse the web using the Chrome browser but it is much slower than a speedy desktop, or even my 240 Android tablet. The tablet is fast enough for me to use to type in text, edit it, and possibly play some older games (such as from Grand Old Games). If I draw on the tablet, it seems responsive, as long as I m not doing anything else with the tablet. You can also install Netflix and watch streaming video without an issue. Overall, I think it is a good tablet if you just want an inexpensive tablet to use with your favorite Windows applications, as long as you set your performance expectations realistically.

This is the second Windows 10 tablet I ve owned. The 1st was a NuVision 11.6 inch Draw tablet with 32GB of storage, 2gb of Ram and a 1080p display. I wanted something with more storage and ram. More importantly I wanted something that was lighter and more portable. Also, I wanted a tablet that i could use for work, so I needed Windows and I wanted a non-bluetooth keyboard case as an option. If you have the right expectations for this type of device, even 32gb of storage and 2gb of ram are doable for Windows 10. That being said this is a great improvement to my previous device. The extra ram makes the performance smoother. The storage makes running Windows updates less of a pain and also allows for a Linux partition to be added. I installed Fedora. The size and weight make this perfect for travel. The Nuvision was as heavy as a laptop and hard to hold as a tablet. I can easily hold this tablet in one hand and read. The feel is very similar to an Amazon Fire HD10. The screen, while not HD, is crisp. Reading on it is easy. Comics look good. Only negative is that its very reflective. So I m often adjusting the brightness for the situation. Touch screen is responsive. No complaints there. I miss having a pressure sensitive stylus with palm rejection. But it wasn t a high priority Battery life seems pretty good but, being at home all day, I haven t really tested putting it through its paces. The tablet s biggest negative are the onboard speakers. at max volume they are hard to hear. I already had one of these little speakers: https: 1 They work well to boost the audio. Regarding a linux install: Again, understand that this is a lightweight machine. This will automatically boot from Live USB. To get to the BIOS, you need to plug in a keyboard and hit ESC or DEL. I couldnt get it to boot to GRUB. Instead i entered the BIOS and the last screen gave me boot options to get into Fedora. I couldn t get the touchscreen to work. I purchased this tablet because of a combination of size, specs and price. Anything cheaper and you compromise on storage and ram. Any more expensive and you compromise on size and weight.

I am so very pleased with this purchase so far !!! I wanted a windows based tablet, for portability and versatility in running windows based programs. I own 3 ipads and a Microsoft surface tablet, but this unit is now my GOTO computer. The ipads run apps, well I need much more than apps full of advertising for more apps, ipads are NOT productivity devices!!. My vast 25 years of windows experience, makes this an excellent choice for my needs. I bought the 128GB version and immediately installed a 256GB micro SD card. If you further insert a 256GB USB flash drive - you have a ton of storage for your movies, video clips, video projects, photos, software, etc. It is fast and responsive for my needs (some say it s slow, maybe they require a gaming desktop for their time consuming video games?) SO far, I am very pleased with this purchase and the video resolution is excellent as well. Highly Recommended !!!!!

I have had my Fusion 5 for several weeks and this is my overall evaluation. I am comparing it to other tablets. I left the computer in S mode, which is the default. I recommend leaving it in S mode unless you absolutely need to use software no in the app store because it runs faster and extends battery life. In that mode, performance is snappy and responsive. The touch screen is sensitive and bright but easy to scratch, so add a screen protector. The speakers work but lack volume. But that s easy to remedy with a plug in speaker. When you first get it, take the time to add all Windows updates. The on-screen keyboard works well and has slide swipe mode. I got the 128 GB memory and added a 128 GB SD card. I use OneDrive to store and share files with my PC. I reformatted the SD card to NTFS so that s where I located the OneDrive. That preserves the built in memory for system and program files. I have plenty of file storage all together. Battery life is reasonable, perhaps 6 hours. It recharges in several hours.

s a little on the slow side but has been very pleasant. The form factor (size shape) are great. The touch screen has been flawless. Pro tip: it fits very nicely into the jellycomb keyboard with the tablet slot! I haven t tried it yet, but the USB power charge cable for the keyboard should charge off the tablet, too, which is convenient. Speaking of power, I m a little sad that the tablet s AC power adapter is so specific; I wish it were a standard little USB like most devices seem to have nowadays, though I m sure they have their reasons. If I lose it, it will render the tablet useless until I figure out what to do. I know this is true of laptops, but tablets seem to use more common cables, like how ipads use lightning, and androids use USB. That would make it much easier to charge in the car or off another device, etc.

First, for a Windows tablet (with Windows already a bit heavy on the system) its a pretty good tablet. The only thing I dislike is the speed and it seems to think a bit (5-10 seconds) before opening a program. But for the price and the features, I can accept it. Also the touch screen seems a bit sluggish, but that could also be a Windows issue. m still trying to figure out how to allocate more memory to resources, as I purchased the 128GB version. Once its up and running, the performance isn t great, but it does handle some things well. The WIFI seems strong and I have had no issues. The battery power is great. I can watch at least 5 hours of videos easily. We recently was on vacation and it handled HULU and YouTube and Netflix well. s not powerful enough for games so I haven t installed any. I mainly use it for a secondary system for my work Skype meetings. Not going to suggest whether you purchase it or not, just mentioning my experience.

I bought the 128K version. The plastic casing seems very solid, and feels quite substantial for the price point. The touchscreen is firm, unlike some cheap Windows tablets with flimsy screens. The screen surface is glossy and shows fingerprints. I prefer a finely etched screen, but I tried an etched screen protector once and the etching on screen protectors is too coarse, so I ll just have to live with it. There are a couple of small bubbles at the outside edge of the screen. They are only cosmetic if they do not get larger. I tried watching a movie, and the built-in speakers did not have enough volume - they were comparable to a cell phone with volume set at about 25 . The sound is good with a bluetooth headset though. The battery seems to hold up pretty well - five or six hours at least. I haven t had any issues with performance, except that there was a setting that would not allow Windows programs to be installed. Seems odd, since that is why I bought this and not an android. Once I figured that out and turned it off, I was able to install the program I needed and it ran well. Overall I have no real complaints, since small size and Windows productivity programs is what I bought it for.

I bought my wife an IPAD for our anniversary. I wanted something more versatile. I love this computer. Once I disabled the S function it works just like my 17 inch laptop. I take it on my boat. I take it on the road in my travel trailer. I can tuck it away in my backpack. All functions work well. Ad stated one could add a 128 card, but I added a 256 memory card and no problems.. Granted, the speakers are not the greatest, but they work well enough for my applications. I wish there was a custom fitted case made especially for it, as I have not found one I like. With the on off button so near the corner, the universal fit models with the corner clips don t work. I bought a soft zip up pouch that does work well. Overall this is just what I wanted and at a good price.

I wanted a Windows tablet without the Galaxy or Surface price and here it is! I trusted the reviews of others and purchased. I ve had for a week and use daily for mail (personal and work), games (card games, nothing complex), and casual browsing, like Yahoo Bing stories and the news weather. It s about what I expected, maybe a little slower than I would have anticipated from a quad-core, but not unreasonably slow (remember, it was less than 300). It starts up quite fast! I immediately changed from at the recommendation of the reviews (I bought the 128). I own a Surface and wanted to get away from the S mode - I m not convinced it s that much and it certainly limited what I could access and download. The Fusion graphics are good. I m quite pleased with the purchase and appreciate those who reviewed before me for the guidance. I wish I knew more information about adding the card for it. I wrote to ask, but no response. Anyone help on that?

I love this fusion 5 windows 10 tablet! I think it is a much better purchase than the Kindle Fire HD 10 since it is faster, has more features and is of course, running windows 10 rather than android OS. This tablet offers east accessibility to a wireless mouse and keyboard on top of it to make it even easier and more convenient to use. The battery life is amazing, even on ultra performance mode (Which I had to change in REGEDIT) but besides that point, it is working much better now than out of the box. One grief I do have with this tablet which I am not sure if anyone else is having is the fact that it s wireless adapter is absolute garbage. The reason I am only giving it 4 stars is because of this issue and thankfully it has a usb port on it which I use to plug in an external wireless adapter. After I installed this, the internet worked perfectly and I was pleased after the fact. I am not sure if I got a bunko product or what issue the wireless adapter in the tablet is having; but I am telling you it doesn t even let myself hardly load a web page. I have even tried it on multiple internet connections, all with the same slow speeds and hardly any data packets being sent at all. So if it wasn t for this work around, I would end up sending this thing straight back to the company. On the positive note, for a little over 200 I think this purchase was extremely worth it!
