Favorite mouse shape (owned a G Pro since release). The mouse clicks are a bit heavier than the pro, the middle mouse click is lighter with scroll steps being more defined, and the side buttons have a small increase in travel. The wireless connection also appears to be just as good as the wired on the pro (using the range extender set at the back of my desk). The addition of another mouse foot on the back center of the mouse is also a nice touch. Definitely use lithium batteries if you buy this mouse! They re lighter and last longer, although a bit more expensive than alkaline batteries. -1 star because there is a definite sensor rattle when I shake the mouse, something my G Pro didn t have. I can live with it if it means getting rid of the wire though. (this is something that I think will depend on luck of the draw, review units did not have this rattle afaik)

As yet another G Pro user, I am extremely happy with this mouse, and will also be using that as a point of reference for this review. Build quality is excellent, feels sturdy, perfect weight for me (I actually welcome the couple extra grams of weight from the G-Pro, no need for those AAA - AA converters for me) I have absolutely no rattle, and the buttons feel great. No RGB on this mouse, which I m perfectly fine with. The feet are slightly slimmer and longer than the G-Pro, and there s also an additional small circular foot on the bottom, I think this does actually help quite a bit with the weight distribution as your hand is on the mouse. The left right click feel as though there s a slight bit more travel distance from the G-Pro, but overall very responsive and consistent. The thumb buttons have MUCH less resistance and are very light and also feel slightly more chiseled than the G-Pro. I also notice the switch of the bottom thumb button somehow feels angled better for clicking using the middle of your thumb. The scroll wheel is set deeper in the mouse and is scrolls clickier than the G-Pro, but will likely smooth out a bit over time. I saw some reports of it being hard to click - this is not the case for mine, it s even easier than that of my worn-in G-Pro, and feel much nicer overall. The DPI button feels exactly the same as the G-Pro, just slightly smaller. The new Hero sensor is perfect. I cannot spot a single flaw, and while it can be extremely difficult to notice any difference between the PMW3366 and the Hero (especially considering wired vs wireless), I do definitely accept the claim that it is better. I can t speak on the battery life yet, as I m not 250 hours into a battery to tell you if that s a true statistic or not, but I ll edit later if it is something to groan about. Not much to say about software either - it works. If you re familiar with Logitech software it s about the same for all. All that said, if you like the shape of this mouse (G-Pro, 203 102, general small ambi mice), you ll be happy with an upgrade to this - and yes, it IS an upgrade in my opinion. TLDR: Good mouse. Good sensor. 5

m not a gamer really, but got the G305 because I was tired of using mediocre mice and saw some good reviews of this one. It also looks clean and not insane on my desk like a lot of gaming mice. I just can t believe what a huge step up it is from literally every other mouse I ve ever used. It s super light, super responsive, super smooth. I do use the DPI switch to quickly jump into slower, high detail tracking for detaily Illustrator or Photoshop stuff. Since there s no acceleration (which is essential for accuracy I gather) most of the time keep it set to a faster DPI mode to get around my big iMac 5K screen faster. Even at a fast tracking speed, there s so much precision that I have very little trouble putting the cursor exactly where I want it. One issue question: on my Mac, I can t get the Logitech Gaming Software to recognize the G305 at all, so I can t customize the side buttons. It s not a huge deal, but I d love to fix it if possible. I know the overlap between gamers and Mac users is basically zero, but: anybody here seeing this same issue? EDIT: it seems the Mac version of the software is now functioning (though it s clunky), so I m able to assign custom functions to the buttons, change the DPI settings, etc.

Logitech has always been known for their wireless keyboards and mice, and this one is no exception. In 2016, Logitech was the first to create a wireless technology that has no interference with other wireless devices, and can respond as fast as a wired mouse plugged in via USB. Ever since, Logitech s wireless gaming mice have been outstanding in terms of performance. And this mouse is no exception. While it may not look like much considering there are no LED s, tons of buttons, gimmicks, etc. Its just a pure performance wireless mouse. The shape originates from the G-Pro mouse released in 2016. That mouse s shape was based on the popular G100s mouse, but added RGB and a top sensor. This mouse is same exact shape: Ambidextrous, but with side buttons on the left side only. The shape is perfect in my opinion, its a lower profile mouse but it still has a hump towards the middle for additional comfort. The buttons are not the best in my opinion. While the left and right clicks are crisp and tactile, they are a little too tactile for my taste. They re loud, have a little too much travel, etc. They actually feel even more heavy than the original G-Pro buttons. The left and right clicks are rated only for 10 million clicks as opposed to the 20 or 50 million found in other mice. The side buttons are a bit mushy with a LOT of travel, but they work as expected. The scroll wheel is a bit heavy but has noticeable steps and is still quite smooth. Overall, the buttons are decent, but the left and right clicks really need some more tension. This mouse weighs about 96 grams with the AA battery it comes with. However, you can reduce the weight by using a AAA battery with a converter, or even using an AAA battery with tinfoil. But this mouse is very popular among the gaming mouse modding community, I ve seen people do some mods to this mouse to get it to below 70 grams. The feet are just your basic Logitech mouse feet. A little scratchy, but still smooth and fast. Not the worst stock feet I ve used. How does this mouse have such good battery life? Well, the Hero sensor does just that. It uses the second gen Hero sensor, as the first gen Hero sensor found in the G603 was able to spin out with the tilt slam when this second gen Hero sensor doesn t. The Hero sensor was designed by Logitech to give almost the same performance as the popular PMW3366 sensor by Pixart, but at the same time, gives you almost double the battery life. It can track anywhere from 100 to 12,000 DPI in steps of 50. Has no issues with stuttering, spinouts, acceleration, etc. Feels exactly like the PMW3366. It can also be used at: 125, 250, 500 or 1000 HZ polling rate. Truly a revolutionary sensor. This mouse can either be used with Logitech Gaming Software or G-Hub. I personally use LGS as I find it to be more stable and easy to use compared to G-Hub. In the software, you can set profiles, DPI, macros, you name it. The only option missing is your lighting options as this mouse doesn t have any LED s except the DPI indicator which is either white when you re on a normal DPI setting or yellow if you re on a DPI shift setting. As I stated above when talking about the weight, this mouse powered by a AA battery. With that said, that means you can t use a cable to re-charge the mouse, or use the powerplay pad. But you really don t need either of those, because of the Hero sensor s power efficiency. In gaming mode it can last up to 250 hours under CONTINUOUS use. That s 10 days without a break. If you set it to endurance mode, it can last up 9 MONTHS! (Endurance mode saves by battery by limiting the polling rate to 125 HZ). But they re is advantages with using a traditional battery. First if you drain the battery or it somehow goes bad, you just replace it. You won t have to send the mouse in for RMA if the battery fails, like on the G703 for example. And secondly, they last a lot longer. Even the G703 with the Hero sensor can last up to 35 hours of continuous use with the lights on, but the G305 can last up to 10 days. See the difference? This mouse is a GREAT choice for those who want to get a wireless gaming mouse without breaking the bank. You re giving up on the lighter weight of other mice, LED s and other features, but for the price you pay, you gotta cut corners somewhere.

ve been using the G Pro for the past year and love the shape so when I saw the G305, which is a wireless G Pro, I am very excited. I am a long-time user of ambidextrous mouse (coming from the original Logitech egg-shaped mouse, Steelseries Kana, etc.). As opposed to the Razer Lancehead vs. its wireless version which I considered seriously, Logitech s G305 DID NOT sacrifice sensor performance from the G Pro to my relief. It also sports a long battery life so spec wise, definitely everything I want in a mouse. How does it compare to the G Pro? Movement and precision feel the same. There are very slight differences in the buttons between my copies of G Pro and G305 -- which I don t consider problems - Middle click is more stiff to click on the G Pro. However, the scrolling is more fluid on G Pro. - Right left clicks are slightly louder on G305. If I must qualify it, the G305 has a higher pitch - The 2 side buttons feel ever so slightly more recessed on the G305 Using the Duracell AA battery that comes with the mouse, it weighs the mouse heavily toward the back. Switching to a Lithium AA battery lowers the weight but still heavier than the G Pro. With Lithium and taking the cover off, the mouse finally feels balanced. It actually feels ok to use without the cover. However, I will be using a Lithium AAA battery with AAA-to-AA holder to lower the weight and make the mouse balanced. That should make the G305 weigh feel almost the same as the G Pro. This, is as perfect as a mouse as I can ask for after all these years.

After having the g-pro for almost 2 years and seeing the advancements in the wireless industry it was only a matter of time before this legendary piece arrived. This combines the best senor they have with the best play style. Being an extremely talented competitive player on R6, CS:GO. League, Overwatch, I can say that this is one of the best mice you can have if you have small hands or play claw grip. After using an entire battery with the included one and then using a lithium, I would say the lithium is much better. Its lighter, lasts longer, and it balances the mouse better than a Duracell. The included dongle is small, fits inside the mouse and is convenient if you have a keyboard with a usb pass through.

For 60 this mouse is absolutely amazing. I am blown away, I really never thought that wireless would ever completely catch up with wired for gaming performance. I have been playing CS for so long that I started with a ball mouse and distinctly remember my first optical mouse. The wireless g305 is a revelation on a similar level. The sensor is, in a word, perfect. I can feel absolutely no difference between this mouse and my 3360 nixeus revel, 3310 zowie za12 and wired G Pro. I ve played extensively with these and many other high end gaming mice with quality sensors and this G305 feels as good or better than any of them. The ambidextrous shape and slightly smaller than average mouse has always been my particular cup of tea and this mouse is exactly that. It s also pretty lightweight. This is the perfect mouse for me. It may not tick all of your boxes like it does mine, but if you re worried about the wireless sensor not stacking up, don t. It s flawless. Now if you don t like ambidextrous mice or have giant bear paws for hands then maybe I could see this not being a fit for you. But if you re like me and have been waiting a long time for a truly non compromising gaming mouse that s wireless for an affordable price then congrats my friend, your wait is over. Go buy this thing right now. Truthfully I don t know why anyone would pay 150 for the wireless G Pro when this one is just as good for less than half the price.

m not a gamer, but use precise mouse movements for work regarding heavy data analysis and engineering CAD. I got one for work since it doesn t have any of the goofy styling and loved it so much that I bought one for my home office. When it comes to wireless mice I was always wary about responsiveness and precision. This mouse is not only comfortable, it feels great in the hand. Somehow, the sensors make it as if it tracks like a wired mouse. The weight is balanced and glides well on mouse pad. After using this wireless mouse and really feeling the performance difference, I can never go back to regular mice again.

Great mouse, I wish it was price-reduced like the black version but I ll pay extra for white. I use a claw - three finger - three button - thumb and pinky hold technique that I just named for the first time here. With this grip, the mouse doesn t feel small, it feels great. Since there is only a single led the white casing provides great contrast on my black mouse pad. I don t even need to look down, just the mouse in the corner of my eye stands out enough. Lastly, to lighten the mouse (if desired) I suggest using a different AA or AAA or even a AAAA (quadruple A) battery with some tinfoil. Stock weight: 99g Mod weight: 80g

I really wanted to love this mouse but am going to end up returning it. - Amazing wireless connection - Amazing battery life - Feels very durable (untested) - Very light (90g) - Weight distribution is terrible - I often lift the entire front of the mouse off the pad. I ve read this could be remedied by using a AAA to AA converter for better distribution and left weight off the rear. - No RGB if you re into that. - Size (personal con), if you are coming from a G-Pro (old wired) you will love this All in all the shape and poor weight distribution is what ended up having me return it. If logitech could come out with a lightweight G403 that isn t an elephant like the G703 that would be my go to.
