Nice ‘way build’ LEGO set for young builders. Just enough pieces for a good hour of entertainment. Wheels do tend to pop off if the car is driven around the carpet by an energetic kid. Good news is the pop back on easily and it doesn’t bother the little guy at all.

As all LEGO products, this is first quality and cleverly produced. Instructions are clear and our 6 year old grandson LOVES building from the instruction booklet. We have a "museum" for all his creations! Great way to teach patience, perseverance, fine motor skills and coordination, creativity and pride of accomplishment! Thank you LEGO!

GREAT INSTRUCTIONS, KEEPS LITTLE MINDS THINKING AND AWESOME OUTCOME ONCE COMPLETED

I love Lego and am especially partial to the Creator series. What I like about the series is the multiple builds and opportunities for 3 unique experiences. A set to me is made better by liking the various builds and the color scheme of the set.

As to this set, I quite dig the dune buggy, which is the main build. (the main build is the highlighted build on the front of the box and that is generally uses the most pieces.) The other builds (an airplane and a 4-wheeler) are unique enough and also quite fun in their own right. Yes, they don't use al the pieces so it is important to safely place the unused pieces so you an go back to the main build if/when you choose.

The color scheme is personal preference, but I also like the yellow and blue with white and black accents. There are also hints of red and silver to be had. Lastly, some of the unique/less common pieces are the engine intake, exhaust pipes, and grill brush guard which help to spice up builds with other Lego.

Finally, the size of this set is perfect for school birthday party gifts and other similar needs.

In summary, this is an easy set to recommend for those that love Lego and especially the Creator series.

I really like all three of these vehicles! On the box, the dune buggy & 4-wheeler look kind of similar, but they are different builds & both fun toys once built (the plane is fun too, but it clearly is a lot different from the cars). This is a great starter set for young builders! The bright colors & quick/easy building time have lots of appeal and very low frustration potential. The attention to detail & moveable parts make them fun to play with. The wheels may pop off if you play rough once they’re built, but the good news is that if your kid built it, he/she knows that she can always build it again! Particularly if you have already taken it apart on purpose, you know that you can always put it back together! What a great concept to absorb, while you’re still young enough to absorb concepts.

My 4 and 7 year old sons love the LEGO 3-1 Creator sets and I do too. It's like three times the LEGO for the price of one. Each set has pieces and instructions for three distinct designs. My younger son particularly loves building each design in turn. However, the sets also show what you can do with LEGOs and a little creativity, with one box resulting in totally distinct results. This set has the pieces for a dune buggy, a plane, and a "quad bike" which is basically an off roader. At 147 pieces it is big enough to not be overly easy, but small enough that my sons can build a single design in one sitting in less than 90 minutes.

We really like these 3 in 1 Creator kits. They’re great stepping stones toward the world of more sophisticated Lego, the creations in each set are varied, and offer more than one build-able project. We weren’t even sure our six year old would have an interest in Lego, but after watching him play with these, we’re certain more intricate sets are in his future. These seem just right for his age and maybe even five year olds—challenging but not too hard to be frustrating and they come with instructions that he can follow all by himself. This is an age where independence is becoming more and more apparent—we appreciate toys that encourage this character trait.

Dune Buggy was our first choice in the 3 in 1 Creator series. We’ve since moved on to others—I’m glad Lego offers these sets as vehicles, boats, dinosaurs and robots, and at affordable prices.

My kids have had fun with this building kit. It's got the pieces to build three different things, one at a time. The instructions are well done - clear and easy to follow. There is obvious separation between the three items so my kids know which one they are building. The kit has directions to build two different vehicles and a plane. My kids aren't very interested in the plane, but they have build and rebuilt to two cars. The bricks fit together securely, yet is not difficult to separate them when it's time to break it down and build something else. The vehicles roll fairly straight and smoothly on their wheels and my kids like to send them down the hallway. Many Lego sets they like to build and display, but this is one they prefer for play.

Our young kids enjoy Legos. Multis like 3-in-1 get more out of the same kit.
This was a fun set, and my kiddo seemed to enjoy playing it We enjoy both little (good for restaurants, short trips, etc.) and bigger sets (1-2 hour activity). It is silly and counterproductive to gender these sets. In the Friends sets for females, and the Creator and vehicles for boys. Though I concede the packaging hits the target and my little girl prefers the little girls on the Friends to the more tougher and masculine others. But Lego could blur those distinctions, my kiddo would be equally happy if there were little boys in the friends kits too, and they could add some non-pink but girl-friendly colors to the boys packs.

With four sons, we have had our share of Lego sets. We actually didn't keep this on, we gave it as a gift to a close friend of the kids. When shopping for a Lego set for a gift, I always look for the age range, then I pick a theme that suits the child. Sometimes I wonder if the kid already has the super popular sets (Star Wars or super heroes). This set is cool, but not overly common. I felt like it would be really liked by our little friend, and he did indeed love it! I says be built each of the three designs. They were challenging for a five year old, but manageable. His mom said he needed no assistance. It's a great set, and you should try it. Recommended!
