Power Wheels Nickelodeon Paw Patrol Lil' Quad

The Fisher-Price Power Wheels PAW Patrol Lil' Quad vehicle combines sporty ATV styling with awesome toddler friendly features! It features fun PAW Patrol colors and graphics, and is designed specifically for toddlers with easy push-button operation and comfortable footrests. 6-volts of battery power provide a fun, but safe 2 mph maximum speed. And it rides low, so it's easy for little ones to get on and off by themselves. It's as sturdy as it looks - and just as much fun to drive too!

We bought this for our son's 1st birthday. HE LOVES IT!!! We still help him on and off of it, as he is a bit timid, but he laughes and loves to ride on this toy.

This toy is great for larger kids. If he's off the chart or over 90% in height and weight, he'll be able to use this toy without too much trouble at his first birthday. Smaller children may have to be 18 months old, and most girls will need to be at least 2. The issue is physical strength and balance. It takes some strength to "push the button" and some upper body capability to hang on for the ride and the inevitable collisions!

It took my grandson a few tries but he loves it. Other boys tried it at the party, but the girls clung to their Daddies. It is not necessary for a boy to walk to use this toy. They can easily crawl over to it, climb up and on, and go. The speed was faster than I expected at a full charge, The first few times it is ridden you will need to have someone making sure the driver doesn't fall off, and to demonstrate the button. They get the idea to "hold on" quickly, pushing the button comes next, and then bad boy has wheels!

By 2 years any child should be able to use this toy. The issue quickly becomes keeping the larger kids from destroying it. Its the kind of toy every kid gravitates too, so don't be surprised when your 5-8 year old wants to ride. So far it has survived, which is a good indication of its construction.

I was surprised at the small battery, but power consumption and capacity is about right for low mass riders. A larger child will drain the battery faster. I had fully charged the battery prior to the party and completed the assembly, using the larger box Amazon ships the original carton in to hold the finished toy, complete with decals. This was a big mistake because larger siblings of some guests, well over the weight limit, became uncontrollable.

Better to use the original box, and let the parents control things after the sugar induced party crowd has moved on.

The directions are simple. You will need two screwdrivers and the pictures on the box to put it together (helpful for decals). Assembly took about 30 minutes (decals took the longest), and you need to charge the battery 12 hours before the first use according to the instructions.

It would be helpful if the battery charger had its own connection point which did not require disconnecting the motor, but I understand the issue of junior getting on while its charging and ripping the guts out. On the other hand, a hidden DPDT switch would be very helpful and could disable the run button. The electrical connectors used are fairly rugged. If you can control the larger kids and keep them off, this toy would last through several children (probably replacing a worn out battery). Good luck with that though because every visitor who can sit on it will. A weight interlock would prevent this, but at some point it ceases to be a toy and becomes a Chevy.

Grand loves this. Wish it charged longer but for the price and for the summer heat the time is just fine.

Next need 2-seater as this is a ONE seater. We didn't even get the Dora stickers on there. She loves just the pink and purple. Sometimes I like the kids to not to "have-to" always want a character. Just let them use imagination and have fun and play. Not being some character. She's herself so not bother by all the characters.
Don't get me wrong still typical kid loves princess and frilly tutus and tiaras. Dressing every 5 minutes! Fun of childhood.

Worth the purchase for a 1st time rider. Not as fast as some more expensive but we aren't disappointed

So far so good! My son is 13 months and loves this toy! 2 cons as a mom though.... no reverse and no off. My little likes to push buttons so will just hold this one down when he runs into something and even when he isn't on the toy. Easily accessible off switch would be a great addition. A reverse button on the left handle would be nice but I think it could be an issue for young ones like mine too so I understand leaving it off. My son is 50th percentile across the board for his age and this size is perfect for him right now. He doesn't like to keep his feet on the steps unless he is standing on them so he has "run over" his foot a couple times but no tears.

My husband was unsure of this purchase. We bought this when our son was 11 months and not yet walking. We saved it for his birthday party, and opened it when he began walking at 13 months. We helped him ride it in the beginning, however now he climbs on on his own, and loves driving it. He has yet to figure out he controls the steering!

Can't keep my little man off!

Purchased for granddaughter. She loves it!! It's a little hesitant on wet grass but otherwise it goes everywhere!!

I purchased at a discount so great for the value for the item. Purchased for niece/nephew who are 2 1/2 and they were able to figure out controls quickly. Smaller than I pictured, do not expect they will get more than 6 months use before they are too big.

Does not work on grass, maybe if you have a very level lawn with short grass. Outdoor use on driveway/wood or brick patio is fine. Indoor fine on carpet/tile. Would not recommend on hardwood. Tires are hard plastic with a seam down the middle that forms a tiny edge that I think would scratch hardwoods.

I was a little concerned about ordering after reading the reviews. But am so glad I decided to purchase. My daughter loves it. It was the perfect gift for her second birthday.
The power wheel was easy to put together. It took me maybe ten minutes if that. The power wheel comes with the battery and the charger to charge. It was charged when it arrived. My daughter was able to "drive" as she says once it was put together.
The power wheel goes a descent speed. She moves pretty fast on our concrete porch. It also moved well in the grass, and the driveway.
My daughter just turned two she fits on it perfectly.
I am pleased with my purchase.

bought this for my two year old and our one year old got on it right away and loves it too! Although she hasn't figured out the steering, she loves to ride it around the house.
