Coleman Triton 2-Burner Propane Stove

Coleman Triton 2-Burner Propane Stove

Take camp cooking to the next level with the Coleman Triton Propane Stove. Just light it up and dial in your heat with the two independently adjustable burners and you can be cooking over 22,000 BTUs of power in no time. The cooking surface offers plenty of room to fit a 12-in. and 10-in. pan simultaneously. Meanwhile, the PerfectFlow pressure control technology keeps the heat steady, even in extreme conditions. WindBlock panels help shield your flame from wind, and they adjust if you need to fit a larger pan. When the meal is over, the chrome-plated grate removes for simple and quick cleanup, and the heavy-duty latch will keep the lid secure until you whip up your next family dinner.

It works. Unlike many other reviewers, I find the "perfectflow" valves to work well. We never had any problems getting a low, high, or in-between flame from ours. I find the wind deflectors that fold from the back to be an awkward design. You have to open the lid very far back to get them open, which is a problem if there's not a lot of space around. I also find mounting the tank on the side often puts it in the way, and unlike others, there does not seem to be a flexible hose attachment available. There is a hole for inserting the regulator inside the stove when not in use, but no cli[ to hold it in place so it just bounces around all crazy and noisy. A handle would be nice, too. I find the thin stamped metal parts flimsy and cheap. This stove is nowhere near the quality of the Coleman one's we used in Boy Scouts when I was growing up. So it goes, I guess. Overall, for as flimsy as it is, it works. Why then, with all my complaints, do I give it 5 stars? Read on...

So we used it all weekend for about once or twice a month since purchase in September '16. February of '18 I go to screw the regulator on like usual and hear a 'snap' inside. I am unable to screw the regulator on, rendering the stove useless. I was mad because I figured it was just past the warranty and I would have to buy a next one. Well, I emailed and called Coleman. They had me send in some pics, receipt, etc. by email, and within two days they had a new one shipped out. Tracking number and everything. They made things right, so how can I be mad?

I still haven't used the stove, because I didn't have access to Internet where I live here in Puerto Rico! ,so I found the box today! This, for me, is the greatest gift received so far. Not having any electricity since Hurricane Maria, and surviving with a single burner connected to the gas, this is absolutely great, and, most of all, it arrived safe, and, ON TIME! thanks to UPS. USPS here has failed greatly, as have practically all the systems here, so waiting for them to deliver is an additional hassle we have to endure. As soon as I use it, I will surely write my impression, when I have Internet again.

Got this stove over the summer for camping and fishing trips and it's been fantastic. Overall it's fairly lightweight, seems well constructed (I did read other reviews where the construction was an issue, this has not been the case for me) and cleans up very easily.

I've already had multiple occasions to use it and it hasn't disappointed yet. It can be used on the gate of the truck or a table at a campground or where ever it can be safely deployed. The burners are wide enough for standard sized pots though I suppose if you were using a larger pot, you could potentially turn on both burners and center your big pot for some extra coverage. You can adjust your flame on each burner but not much. The Coleman propane packs are pretty easy to find so you always have some to power you stove.

All in all it's a solid purchase for us and I hope to have and use it for a long time to come.

It's a pretty dang good stove. No problems setting up, doesn't eat propane, and easy to control the flame. The construction is fairly solid and I like that you can adjust the side wind blocks out in case you have a larger pot or pan. It has worked flawlessly for the camping trips we have been on since we got it and we are avid campers. Hope to use this for years to come.

Very happy I got this stove. Used it for the first time tonight. It was a lot better than the cheaper "classic" stove. You really can't beat it for the price.
I do wish it had an igniter, but not for the increased cost for using it a handful of times a year.
Don't buy the propane from Amazon. Local stores carry them for $3-4 per bottle.

Just used this for the first time on a weekend camping trip. Easy to set up, lights easily and burns hot. It was kind of a windy day, but it didn't affect making coffee in a percolator. My previous butane stove had problems in any kind of wind, but not this one.

This is Coleman so been around for years and shows the fact that it has endured because it's good. Simple enough design, that it's not complicated to set up and get right to cooking. It folds down and latches closed for travel, and is compact. It's a camp stove so 2 burners are enough for me, coffee and bacon and eggs! soup and boiled water ! and whatever goes with bar-b-que'd campfire food!

Transition from Coleman white gas stove to propane canister product has been easy and a clear step up. Easy to clean and set up. Our stove does not have the instant light nor did I want it but the description does read that it has. Thanks to other reviewers, I knew what I was getting. There is room inside the closed stove to carry a propane lighter. Low level burning is a challenge to dial to so it may not get as low as I may want. We have used it on several extended camping trips and it has held up, closure is solid.

This item was great. no complaints at all. the griddle that is suggested to purchase separately is terrible though.

Very good. Has the classic basic design with compact briefcase-style when closed. I might have gotten the next level up with the push button start had I known about it.
