Laplink PCmover Ultimate 11 is the easiest way to move into a new PC. It includes Laplink PCmover Professional, Laplink Safe Erase, and a Laplink High-Speed Ethernet Transfer Cable. PCmover Professional 11 is the ONLY software that automatically transfers applications, files, settings, and user profiles from an old PC to a new one! It is the easiest way to move to a new PC without leaving anything behind, even when there are different versions of Windows on the old and new PC. In general, it's a good product. It moved almost everything over from the old PC to new PC. It provided couple of summary reports to tell you in a detail list of exactly what migrated to the new pc. That provide a nice reference.

But couple of issues observed during and after the migration:

1) Time required to complete the transfer. First attempt using USB "data" cable did not work (super slow). Use the ethernet cable comes with the package, still very slow. Finally tried the wifi and completed less than 2 hours

2) MS Office or some apps needs to be reactivated. Some of those issues may be more related to Microsoft than PCMover,

3) PCMover Product version is confusing. Bought the PCMover Ultimate. Instructions said to download PCMover Professional. Other than that, it works well.

I didn't contact customer support since I were able to figure out things and successfully migrated the PC. Just be patience.

It moved many things including my antivirus.
The company recommends that antivirus be turned off, but new computer got that transferred, and it was activated immediately.
If you have a hardwired connection through a router, PCmover will use that, and it will be fast. For me under 400 gigs in under 3 hrs after setup.

Well, these things are never as good as one would hope, but now that M.S. doesn't offer any transfer help at all, I supposed it might be better than nothing. I really didn't want to face going from a Windows 8.1 laptop to my new Windows 10 desktop. I figured at worst, I'd have a proper cable.

How wrong I was. This thing REALLY works. I have a LOT of stuff and many programs on my laptop including Photoshop, Lightroom, Fusion 360, Windows Office, Nikon Camera Control Pro, and other well known programs. But I also have complicated but perhaps less well written programs too. Some of them are a little bit quirky like Quickload, Faststone capture, Arduino, Bookwright, and some even lesser known programs.

I'm happy to report ALL of them transferred correctly along with their associated files. It only took a little over an hour (both of my computers are very powerful).

So far manual intervention has been limited to printing images because the embedded data looks for a printer in a different location, but that's dead easy to deal with. I couldn't be happier.

In the past, switching over to a new computer involved a great deal of hard work which is why I've waited 7 years to upgrade this time. Last time I did this it took a full week of tedious and frustrating work.

I recommend this program and next time I upgrade I'll definitely purchase this software again.

I like this product. The Ethernet cable connection didn't work for me but transferred my info by WiFi perfectly. My biggest complaint is it is a one time use. You can transfer from A to B as many times as needed but not from B to C. I have had nothing but problems with my laptop I bought in March of 2017 and purchased a new laptop in March of 2018 and could not transfer the info. I had to buy a new PC-mover.

It worked pretty good but tech support in the Philippines is going to have to take over both of your computers and do this for you....
They then inform you it will cost 99.99 to do (for 14 days of tech support...)...
They then upsell you another 99.00 for a full year of tech support. ..I told them NO and they discounted the upsell to 69.99....
With all the crap I had on my old computer I knew this wasn't going to work if I did this myself.....

I was concerned about moving data and programs from my wife's failing Win 10 machine (upgraded from Win 7) and tried. Worked great. No obvious problems so far and it was backed up before starting to separate external drives. I was expecting to have to reinstall all the programs and find the reinstall files - not needed.

For one, this product actually successfully transferred 400 + GB of data and applications in less than two hours. Still some glitches though. I had to call support (less than 15 minute wait at 10PM Eastern) to find out that the indication that the computers in issue were connected by wireless (slow), rather than the provided 2-way Ethernet cable, was a known "bug". Chrome had to be resynched and ultimately deleted/reinstalled in order to restore all extensions and be recognized by Win 10 as the default browser; Outlook mail accounts had to be revised before they worked. Still saved enough time and anguish to make it worth the price.

It was a little rocky getting started. I used the Ethernet cable and it kept telling me I had a poor internet connection. I fiddled around with it for a while and once I finally got it up and going, about 10 hours later I had a complete transfer. Everything worked on the new laptop....did not have to reinstall any of my former programs. I will definitely use it again in the future.

I read the reviews for this product; & most of the problems described were mainly not reading & following the directions. I had almost 30 yrs involved in IT; so I was aware of an earlier version of this product, and had used it before. After reading all material given; I had NO problems installing, using, & getting everything moved from a Win/7 PC to a Win/10 PC. Everything runs and is working correctly.

This worked great. It took a while as I chose to pick the programs I wanted but all my settings were preserved, I can't tell I'm on a new computer other than the speed and newer operating system. I watched a couple videos online before proceeding which helped. There's quite a few things you have to do such as shut off fire walls, run windows updates, shut off wireless connections (if using the cable connection), but in the end it was well worth it. My browser and all the shortcuts, favorites etc were all transferred. I read where a lot of people had issues with transfers but I had none.
