Specialists of Livermore National Laboratory of Lawrence of the U.S. Department of Energy (LLNL) will receive the supercomputer on the basis of the neyrosinaptichesky TrueNorth chip developed by IBM Research. This system differs from the traditional computers constructed 70 years ago radically. TrueNorth uses the digital neurons and synapses processing information is similar to a human brain.

The IBM TrueNorth platform on the basis of 16 chips so advanced that it is capable not only to overcome the problem sites characteristic of architecture Neumann's background (the principle of joint storage of teams and data in memory of the computer), but also demands absolutely new approach in construction program and the hardware.

The system includes the emulator, specially developed programming language, a development environment, a set of algorithms and also necessary tools for creation of neural networks.
