Comments / reviews:
I wanted a more aggressive mulching blade to better pull up flattened grass and reduce the big clumps of grass being left by my mower. This blade pushes a lot of air, and it sounds similar to a large box fan. It does a lot more work than the original OEM blade I was using.

Experience with this purchase:
Blade arrived quickly, and was wrapped in a very thick plastic shrink wrap and packed into a long box. The blade edge was nice and sharp. The blade fit perfectly on my Craftsman lawn mower. The blade was adequately balanced, and did not cause any vibration in my mower. The biggest improvement I noticed was with the grass clippings. After 4 mowings, I have not had ANY clumps of grass. Furthermore, the clippings are VERY fine since the strong air currents and protrusions on the back of the blade keep the clippings suspended for much longer. So far, the blade has resisted the various sticks I've run over in the yard without marring the blade edge, so it appears to be of decent strength so far. I will try to post an update after the season ends.

Caveats of using an aggressive blade:
* This blade puts a bigger load on the engine in your mower, so you will end up using more gas.
* A mower with a weak or worn out engine will struggle on taller grass. This could be problematic for an battery powered mower too.
* Some clippings are cut so fine that they turn into a sort of powder. When cutting moist grass, this can cause a thick layer of "slime" to coat the underside of the mower, which will not come off easily using the built-in washer port on your mower. I have found that spraying a little WD40 on the underside of the mower will prevent a lot of the buildup for at least 4 mowing sessions. Tilting the mower and spraying directly underneath with the hose will also get it off.

It fits my Husqvarna HU700F lawn mower. Mulch beautifully. I tried mulching the leaves and it chopped them into tiny pieces. After 2nd pass, it is hard to see where the pieces have gone. The blade is cheaper than OEM and I have to see how long it can last before the blade become dull. The blade is not very expensive to replace. I actually don't bother sharpening blade.

I was having a serious problem with clumping with the blade that came with the Husqvarna AWD HU800. Night and day difference when I put the maxpower blade on. First the engine noise improve dramatically. There was this high pitch "valve-pinging" noise that was complete gone with the new blade. After I mow the lawn and before I put the lawn mower away, I scrape the fresh grass from the deck. To my wonderment, the deck was complete dry and clump free. I mulch almost 100% when I'm mowing; unless the grass is really long, then I side discharge.

This is the most amazing thing I have used in a long time. I live in a high water table area. The water level sits 2 1/2 feet or so below my land. My lawn is always damp. Each morning it gets hit with a heavy dew and it truly struggles to dry. Mulching has been impossible for me with a regular mulching type of blade because I had some serious clumping going on under the deck. This blade slices and dices the grass so fine that this is no longer an issue. Its also tougher than a conventional blade as I usually strike a few things and there was not a mark left on the blade. The only issue as mentioned by others is because the grass cuts so fine - it can and will stick to the deck somewhat so I do recommend turning mower to side after mowing and wash the underside well. The other issue is that it does seem to be a bit harder on the engine. My mower is the highest rated for engine power so its not an issue. It could be for a more entry level set up, so be aware of that. If you experience issues with cutting, are tired of bagging or using a side shoot that gets in your way, this blade is worth every penny.

I wish I'd replaced my blade sooner. Putting this blade on my Honda powered Husqvarna has instantly made it a far better lawn mower. I had no idea how dull my old blade had gotten. Putting this new blade on has made a huge difference. Thick heavy grass that would have stalled my mower before I can now cut right through without a problem. I have noticed zero difference in fuel consumption or engine demand, in fact it probably does better faster because it cuts easier. The best bucks you'll spend on caring for your lawn.

Highly recommend this blade. Heavy duty blade makes original blade seem cheap. I have read some reviews that have said you use more gas with this blade. I have had the opposite effect. Blade is so sharp and heavy, it powers through tall and thick grass with ease, turning the grass into fine particles. I have used this blade for a few months now and have still not seen a grass trail left behind from the mower.

Perfect for mulching with our Craftsman Platinum. The 3-1 blade that came with the mower was not a mulching blade and just made a mess of things. At this price, I will just buy a new one each year when I service the mower. The blade was balanced and packaged appropriately. Our lawn looks manicured! Would suggest you match it up with old blade before you unwrap to install. Ours was the same exact size for 22 inch mower we own.

Replaced the 'factory' blade on my Husqvarna HU700 with this blade a few months ago. The factory blade was cheaply made and did not hold up in part due to the sandy, abrasive conditions inherent in my lawn. After three months of weekly wet grass mowing during the southwest Florida rainy season, this blade has held up well; it mulches and and performs admirably. Installed easily and was nicely balanced upon arrival.

Great blade, smoothed out my husqvarna hu800awdh and got rid of pinging sound.

so far its a great blade and does the mulching better that the stock one that came with the mower...seems to have 20 percent more power in the thicker stuff..gas cunsumption was also less..we will give it some time to see if its true
