UTG Special Operations Universal Tactical Black Leg Holster (Left Handed)

I didn t expect perfection at this price. You can pay four to five times the price and get a good level one or two retention holster made of Kydex or some durable plastic. For this price I definitely expected the raised front sight (on a suppressor-ready handgun) might snag in the fabric inside this holster. So the technique is to rock the grip forward and slide the gun out with the front sight rotated away from the inner surface. Think of it sort of kind of as a cheapo retention system. I ordered one of each: left and right, so I can carry a gun on each thigh. These holsters are probably the best in this price range. The latches are solid, and the retaining strap is far superior to the little Velcro tabs on many cheap holsters that either don t retain very well or are difficult to disengage or both. They only have one thigh strap, but IMO, unless you are carrying a huge heavy piece (like a .500 Linebaugh or maybe a Desert Eagle .50AE ?? and these would not fit this sized holster any way) this should be fine, and on the positive side, it simplifies things. The magazine holder is a nice touch.

I don t review items usually unless very happy or very displeased. In this case, it s the former. When something exceeds one s expectations in this day in age, it should be noted because it s not often it occurs. This Holster by UTG is exactly what I am looking for for my S W Sigma .40 (and it fits perfectly I might add, which is noteworthy because the fits is not specific to a gun model and maybe a reason for a very reasonable price). I was looking for an open carry holster that didn t sag or droop like the holsters with the belt clips. I had no luck finding one, so I focused on the holsters with the leg attachments (which seem like a much more secure holstering technique.) Long story short, I believe this holster is just short of a professional grade model...and the price is just tremendous. I feel I could run with this setup if necessary, a hand resting on the top of the pistol would help the bouncing which is minimized with this holster and a tactical belt. I hope they sell a ton of them. Just a note, there are two buttons that allow for a quick release of the gun. you do not have to use the clip to release the gun. I recommend not using the clip as it interferes with gripping the gun when drawing. The 2-button release method allows the strap to just fall backward and out of the way as you draw the gun AND allows for one handed re-securing (re-snapping of the buttons) of the weapon, whereas the buckle requires two hands (or alot of dexterity with one hand) to secure. Bottom line--Get a tactical belt (I got the Condor Tactical Belt, which I love as well) and this holster if you are just interested in an excellent open carry setup. The combo has the feel of a professional setup at far from a pro price. Highly recommended. I will be looking at UTG gear first from now on.

I ordered this a few days ago and got it faster than promised, so that was nice. It feels durable. It fits my XD 9mm perfectly. I love the extra magazine holder as well. This is a great buy. The price was right and the shipping was fast and free. No for those of us who have grip safety on our guns(XD 9mm) When the grip strap is being used you will be pressing the grip safety down. The only way that I can see the gun going off in this holster is if you somehow manage to wedge something down in there and somehow pull it up on the trigger safety. OR... This seems very hard to do but I could imagine a scenario: Say you are in the woods and you slide down an embankment into a ravine; and a small but sturdy and flexible twig is able to make it s way up through the bottom of the holster and pushe the trigger saftey and trigger---But that is a very random and hard thing to do. BUT---I never rule anything out. This has nothing to do with the value of this holster but I wanted to point it out because of the particular gun I hold in there. I can always remove the magazine,empty the chamber, and de-cock the gun which is what I will be doing anyway. Just a thought for the grip safety equipped pistol owners. I love this holster and the price is right. Go ahead and get it!

Love it! Unless you re military or law enforcement, you don t need the heavy duty leather or plastic ones. It works absolutely perfect for me, and I prefer this very much over a hip holster as it is not in the way of your arm. I hated walking with my arm slightly out like I had invisible lat syndrome. I would say it fits larger frame weapons tho. My ruger sr9 fits snug, but my walther pk380 feel loose and doesn t sit as well. I work out and don t have a skinny frame, yet I still have to tighten the leg strap a little bit so it ll fit nearly everyone.

Being left handed its quite hard to find a quality leg holster for the left hand. theyre all over priced and hip holsters aswell as all the ambidextrous holsters . this one is great it has three different thigh w belt clip, just thigh, or hip holster so you can change it up dipending on the situation (ex thigh w clip for alot of running around cqb, just thigh for alot of crouching sniping in bushes. and i use the hip holster if i m doing alot of climbing for sniping.) the holster has a spare magazine holder and has snap buttons on the gun strap for quick release. i have enjoyed it greatly and suggest that all lefties get a this holster for their pistol

For the price this isn t a bad choice in a leg drop holster. It s pretty comfortable to wear, when you get it properly adjusted. The single tie down does OK. I noticed some flop with the rig while carrying mostly due to the short elastic piece that the leg tie down is sewn to. I suppose they put this in for flex when moving, sitting, etc., but it kind of drove me nuts so I cut it out of the equation and sewed the leg strap directly on to the holster part. Once I adjusted it a little better my gun now rides straight without canting out, however I do keep it loose enough so as not to turn the leg strap into a tourniquet. The holster itself is not bad either and retains the weapon pretty good. Drawing the pistol is quick and easy.

UTG products are fantastic...I bought left-handed version and this Gen II holster is really nice. Very well made..all straps, stitching, and material are all very good. I bought this for my brand new Springfield Armory XDM 9mm 4.5 34; barrel and this holster fits it like a glove. The magazine pouch at the front easily holds 1(one)-19 round double stack mag. Very good product at a very good price. Don t buy more expensive equipment. If you buy UTG Leapers you will never go wrong. I am waiting for my UTG 547 tactical vest. I know I will love it like I have this holster and all the UTG merchandise I have bought. Get this holster...you won t be sorry

First off this is really well made and can fit some decently sized pistols. I have my Hk usp in it, and fits perfectly. Secondly very easy to adjust and once it is adjusted it will stay like it until you readjust it, I have pretty good sized legs and it fits just fine and with room to spare. Reason for 4 star is because when I m running it wobbles around a lot, even with it pretty tight on my leg. Gets a little annoying after a while but in the heat of battle (airsoft) I am more focused on not getting hit so I guess I can look past it. I believe you can detach it from the drop leg an move it up to your belt but I have not done it yet so don t quote me. Other than that it is a great buy and look forward to getting mor gear from UTG

This UTG Left Handed Tactical Leg Holster is much better quality than I expected and perfectly fits a Beretta 92F. It is hard to good left handed holsters so I am very happy to have found this one. Here are my observations: Good Quality; made from heavy material and has good stitching length and snugness are easy to adjust Secure; the straps and buckles are good quality and well designed to hold the pistol in the holster and the holster to you This is an easy choice for those looking for a left handed tactical holster that fits full sized pistols.
