The reel itself isn t too bad. But it definitely wasn t what I was expecting. The body is much bigger than I expected, and completely made of plastic. It does feel sturdy, but still plastic. The tension is pretty strong, and it does lock in to keep from extending with a heavy load. Also the belt clip seems really strong, and has a solid connection so you don t have to worry about it slipping off when extending the cord. t forget to mark if this was helpful!

This works exactly as expected, and is extremely lengthy so as to never be limited by cord length (only arm length)! The only issue I have with it is that the attachment to the nylon string in the internal compartment is rather week and only fixed by a plastic doodad. At one point my keys got stuck on a door handle and upon reaching the maximum distance it just yanked the nylon string out, breaking the plastic. This was disappointing as the metal ones usually will just yank you back. It wasn t too bad of a fix though, I just popped the thing open and glued the string back on the plastic while winding it up. It continues to work right but because of that small oversight I have decided to give it only four out of five stars.

I purchased this as a replacement for an older one that is still working fine, but the cord has been rubbing on my Multitool I have clipped to the same pocket and the cord is wearing through. I have become so reliant on this to hang onto my keys I needed one to use while I ship the other one back for repair. They have a lifetime warranty, so I will see if that is true. Very solid build, I guess that is why they can give them a lifetime warranty. I would recommend this product. Even though the cord on the older one is wearing through the outer material, the kevlar inner cord is still intact and fully supports my heavy key bundle. Should last for a long time.

Heavy duty, good clip, nice spring in it ,large keyring. This is the best key retractor I ve seen.

ve used this at work for two years now. I ve had quite literally not a single issue with it. Super durable, always retracts cleanly, and I love that it 34; the lanyard in place. Very highly recommended if you need this sort of thing.

t say to much as it hasn t been used yet, but I like the latch that the movable end of the key holder goes into. It takes the weight off of the lanyard line itself and reattaches the keeper ring to the spring loaded belt attachment case.

Ordered several of these and had them mounted in the center of 34;lockout boards 34; throughout the department. We had safety cutters attached to the key rings, and with the reach each lanyard allows, operators can use the cutters anywhere on the board. It s a 34;rough service 34; application, but so far we ve had zero defects or failures.

Snaps securely over duty belt, removes easily enough with one thumb action, cannot remove accidentally. Still room to slide along belt between belt loops, tuck keys badge in front pocket or inner waistband. Performs better than coated stainless steel cables that eventually snag.

I love this key holder. I use it for work and I have no problems with my shirts getting hung in the cord like my old key holder did. The lock is nice too because I can lock my keys in place and they won t hang low. This cord is super long and I never have to actually take it off my waist band. I will buy again. Update: I have been using this key holder for several months now. I still love it. No wear on the kevlar cord. My work shirts no longer have holes from the chain. I also love the long reach that the cord has. Will recommend to others and will buy again. Update: May 5 2016 I have had this key holder for 7 months now and it is just like new. It leaves no marks or holes in my clothes and there are no scratches on the plastic. The cord doesn t have any worn spots and the reach is fantastic. I can sit in a chair and reach up and unlock a cabinet. I will buy again!!!!!

works great, and is only just now starting to show some age after daily use for more than two and a half years. my ring has about 20 keys on it, so your results may vary if you have a very heavy ring. retracts nicely, and only now is starting to show some frey on the cord that winds back into the body of the holder. the clip has stretched out a little bit, but that s my fault for using it on a fall-harness for a few months, that had VERY thick webbing. only slight complaint would be that the locking 34; that holds the ring into the body of the caddy, isn t very strong. and it s kind of one-directional... it slides into a little trough. since i wear my keys on my left hip, if i bump into anything with the keys (walking past a door-knob, climbing a ladder, etc) it can knock the keys 34; and unlock them. then they kind of flop around with about an inch of cord. if you wear your keys on the right hip, then the unlocking motion would be 34;, and much less likely to happen. all in all, great product.
