I bought this for $19.56 at the beginning of March, 2014. It is perfect for my purposes. I recently purchased a Hyundai Genesis Coupe, which has USB support for the in car entertainment system. Unfortunately, the USB port is behind this little cover that has very little clearance.

This low profile flash drive was the perfect solution to allow me to use a flash drive and still close the cover. It writes fast and I use a little figurine on a string that helps me to pull it out when I need to.

The little tether ring thing is very small, you'll need something about the diameter of dental floss. A normal sized keychain isn't going to work.

Although I'm lucky enough to still have a CD player in my truck, I still use this Cruzer Fit for all my music. At 32 GB, it holds the best of my entire music library. The small size means you can let in your vehicle's USB jack and forget it. It doesn't stick out more than a quarter inch, so you don't have to worry about it getting bumped and breaking. This thing is so small I actually wouldn't recommend it as a work drive simply because it could be lost so easily. But there isn't anything better for car audio systems. If you are considering one of these for use in your vehicle, do not go over 32 GB (there are higher GB models). Car audio systems will not recognize drives larger than 32 GB thanks to a Microsoft patent on exFAT. I think I read somewhere that BMW paid the royalty fee that would allow their systems to go higher than 32 GB, so if you have a newer BMW, you might be able to go higher.

I originally bought a SanDisk Cruzer Fit 32GB flash drive to serve as a back-up drive for my laptop computer. As it turns out, I never got around to backing up my computer’s hard drive, so this flash drive sat unused and unloved for nearly two years…

…Until recently, that is, when I decided to use it in my 2015 Subaru Impreza as a mass storage device for all my MP3 music files. The SanDisk Cruzer Fit flash drive works perfectly in this capacity, supplying my car’s infotainment system with a nearly unending supply of music, all neatly sorted by album. The car stereo does the rest. It plays every song perfectly and displays all album information, except (unfortunately) for album art.

Because the low profile SanDisk Cruzer Fit 32GB flash drive is so small, it takes almost no space in my car’s storage compartment. I can put other items in this space without fear of damaging the flash drive.

The SanDisk Cruzer Fit 32GB flash drive is extremely versatile. From computer backups to music and photo storage, it is an extremely handy device to have around. Highly recommended.

This is a great USB stick for car stereo use. That's specifically why I got it, and this did not disappoint.

I bought this one for my wife for Christmas to use in her car. I bought this style because when plugged into the USB port, it won't hang out of the port several inches where it could get get banged into, possibly causing a broken USB port or broken flash stick.

It barely sticks out from the port... I can't really measure but perhaps 1/4 inch at best, so when things get tossed around in the car and bump the stick, it won't stress the stick or the port like a larger stick would. It just "lives" in the port at all times, which is the application I think it's born for. Any kind of regular portable use and it would get lost it's so small.

Have used the Cruzer Fit and the Ultra Fit in different sizes on several occasions. All have preformed well. They do get a bit warm when functioning, but has not been a problem so far. The small size is very convenient for many many applications (vehicle audio storage, laptop extra storage, etc).

I solved the SMALL LANYARD HOLE PROBLEM on the Cruzer Fit.
I purchased a $4 package of 55, 6 mm steel split-rings from a craft supply store that is named after an Archangel, and starts with an M.
The 6 mm split ring fits the tiny-tiny lanyard hole on the Cruzer Fit and then allows plenty of room to attach most any lanyard or fob to the split-ring on the small thumb drive and keep you from losing it. I have been loading Audio Bibles on the these drives to give to friends, and now I've got enough split-rings to last a long long time. See Photos.

Ad said these were used, but mine were NIB
I am placing music on them for use in my car. So far, of the ten purchased, 4 I have reformatted, and loaded 4 of them, with no problems whatsoever. Sandisk is a trusted brand, that I have made many purchases from. Since my first memory expansion stick that I added to a desktop mother board many years ago, to SD cards, to thumb drives, I have never experienced disappointment. I don't expect that will change with this product.

The only reason these do not get 5 stars is two fold, and almost petty:

Firstly, the hole for a lanyard is so small, that the only thing durable I have found that will fit through it is very small gauge copper wire. I have not found even the tiniest key ring that will fit. Also the metal that the lanyard would go through is not very substantial, and I could easily imagine it breaking, if it were attached to a typical key ring, that gets stuffed into a pants pocket or purse.

Finally, the "cap" for keeping the plug clean is not connected by a hinge, or lanyard, and does not stay on all of them, resulting in an exposed plug, that can collect dirt and dust. To overcome that short-coming, I use a medicine bottle from the pharmacy to store them in my car.

Neither of those are good enough reasons to keep me from buying more of them, should I fill up the ones I have already purchased.

So cheap and can hold so many (thousands of) songs in such a small non-protruding storage device for applications such as your car's audio, or for your smart TV (to record regular channels) etc. I got the two pack for some insanely low price. DO NOT be tempted by super cheap prices for storage devices and memory sticks on Chinese websites and do not buy no-name brands on those sites. You will lose your data or whatever you store on that chip forever. They do not work! These, on the other hand work GREAT!

This is a real nice memory unit for applications where you are just leaving it in a particular USB port most of the time. I bought this to load it up with music for my car. It will hold like 150 CD's worth of music in MP3 format. I wanted a memory stick which didn't stick out of the USB port very much because the port I am plugging it into is in the center console of my car and a longer stick risks getting hit or bent when you take other things in and out of the console. This unit is difficult to pull out of the port because there is not much to grab onto. There is a little hole in the end of it for tying a lanyard to for easier removal. This one didn't come with a lanyard but it looks like SanDisk sells a version that does come with one for more money.

I am a big fan of the very low profile remaining outside of the computer after one of these has been inserted. I run several programs that can be run from a USB drive, which makes them easily portable between computers. The result is that the drive tends to be left more or less semi-permanently installed in whatever computer I am working on, and longer drives stick out more and tend to be bumped or to catch on things, particularly on portable computers that are being moved around. This tiny little unit does not protrude more than 1/4 inch at most. From a performance standpoint, it is fast enough for anything I do. Speed is not really an issue for me, I'm far more interested in capacity and reliability, and this drive works well. I have several of this model, and have never had a problem of any kind with any of them. If there is a downside, for me it is that it can be a real problem to get a good grip on it to remove it from a computer. And if you drop it in the process, which is easy to do, the tiny little thing can be really hard to find.

I started using flash drives to store older photos, videos and my music I have on my computer at home as using SD cards don't seem to be very reliable as they tend to get corrupted or stop working over time.....plus so far for me....flash drives seem to be more reliable for compact storage of photos, music or videos from my computer compared to comparable SDHC or SDXC cards. I got a couple of these Sandisk USB 2.0 64 gb flash drives and both of them works great! No issues with these rather smallish flash drives. I wish these were a little larger in size as they could easily get lost like SD cards do & they are rather hard to remove from my desktop also. Other than the small physical size of these flash drives, they are great, easy to use and comes with a cap to protect the USB part of the flash drive. I may get a couple more of these as they work great for me! 5 stars I give this flash drive.....it may not be a USB 3.0 flash drive, but it works well enough and don't overheat like their 3.0 USB version tends to [I have a few of the USB 3.0 versions also....which tend to really get hot].
